Malden Reads is for all ages.
While the featured selection for 2013—The Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian—is recommended for readers teenaged or older, the Malden Reads core committee has chosen several companion books specifically aimed at younger readers. These books raise themes similar to the featured selection, in an age-appropriate fashion for younger readers.
All three were written by Joseph Bruchac.
