“Courageous Poets” at Porchfest

32 Swan St, Malden

A performance of original poetry by participants in the “Courageous Poetry” workshop offered through Malden Reads and Urban Media Arts and led by poet/author/storyteller CD Collins. The performance will be part of the first Malden PorchFest event on June 11 and will take place at 3PM at 32 Swan St., a home that will be hosting a PorchFest BLOCK PARTY with neighboring homes. All are welcome! Arrive before 3pm to catch the performance. Prompts for the poetry workshop were inspired by themes from this year’s Malden Reads book selection, “An American Sunrise” by Joy Harjo. The “Courageous Poetry” workshop and performance was supported in part by a grant from the Malden Cultural Council.
