“Allegiance” – Film Screening

A mysterious envelope leads Sam Kimura back 60 years to a time when he and his sister Kei strive to save their family from the wrongful imprisonment of Japanese Americans during World War II.

Join Malden Reads residents in a film screening of the Broadway play, inspired by the true-life experience of George Takei. ALLEGIANCE follows one family’s journey in this untold American story.

George Takei is a starring cast member in this filmed version of the Broadway play.

This film screening will also officially kickoff the events for this year’s program. The evening will include some goodies and surprises for Malden Reads enthusiasts and those just discovering the program.
